CA55M-1 Mixer Has A 1-1/2" Air Horn And Can Be Mounted In Either An Updraft,
IMPCO CA55-256L Carburetor specifications:
The CA55M-1 Mixer has a 1-1/2" Air Horn and can be mounted in either an updraft, downdraft, or sidedraft orientation, supplying either LPG or Natural Gas to engines.
Idle Speed Adjustment
Turn the idle speed screw until the idle speed of the engine is within specification.
This setting is preset at the factory and should not require further adjustment. This adjustment controls the mixture when the gas metering valve is withdrawn from the jet. It is only effective when the engine is near a full-load condition. This can only be set with the engine loaded or at a close to its rated governed rpm.
||LPG Vapor or Natural Gas
||-1.5” w.c. (-0.37 kPa)
|Operating Temperature Range
||-40ºF to +250ºF (-40ºC to 121ºC)
||Up to 75 hp (55.9 kW) @ 118 CFM (55.7 L/s) and 2.0” Hg manifold depression
The idle air fuel mixture is best adjusted only with a engine CO exhaust analyzer and the mixture should be adjusted to 0.30 to 0.70 percent carbon monoxide.
* Adjust idle to 400-500 rpm
* Turn idle air screw out until engine starts to run rough.
* Turn idle air screw in approximately ¼ turn to ½ turn or until engine smoothes out.
IMPCO's multidisciplinary engineering team supports customers from concept development through production validation and certification. Our team uses 3D modelling, FEA, and CFD tools for design analysis and utilizes on-site CNC and rapid prototyping. Our validation protocols include in-house corrosion and vibration testing as well as flow characterization and on-engine emissions analysis.
